Free handover document generator
Answer the questions below and download a complete handover document as a PDF. Free, no account, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
It covers the seven things a handover needs: scope, systems and access, current state, known issues, in-flight work, contacts, and a sign-off block. If you want the reasoning behind each section, that is in what belongs in a handover document.
Nothing you type leaves this page.
The PDF is built in your browser. There is no upload, no account, and no copy on our servers. A tool that asks for your client's systems and unpatched issues has no business collecting them.
What this does not do
It produces the document. It does not establish that the other side received it, which is the part that gets disputed. Your copy is a file with a modification date you control, sent through a mail server you control, and a signature on the last page records that someone signed a page rather than what was in front of them when they did.
Closing that gap needs three things the document cannot supply on its own: a hash fixing the contents at the moment they were sent, an acknowledgement naming each disclosed issue and tied to a person, and a timestamp neither party controls. Pactbound does that, and the free tier covers five sign-offs a month.
