Pactbound

Acceptable Use Policy

Effective: April 13, 2026. DMG L&D, LLC, a Florida limited liability company.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs all use of the Pactbound Service and is incorporated by reference into the Pactbound Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund, and may be reported to relevant authorities. This AUP applies to all Users, including free and paid plan subscribers, API integrators, and anyone accessing the Service on behalf of an organization.

Prohibited Uses

Unlawful purposes

Do not use the Service to store, transmit, process, or facilitate content or activity that violates any applicable law or regulation, including export control laws, economic sanctions, anti-money-laundering laws, or laws prohibiting the distribution of controlled substances. You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with the laws of your jurisdiction and the jurisdictions of your recipients.

Malicious code and security attacks

Do not upload, transmit, or distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, trojans, keyloggers, exploits, or any other harmful code through the Service. Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related infrastructure. Do not attempt unauthorized access to any account, system, or network. Do not conduct denial-of-service attacks or any other form of traffic flooding.

Phishing, fraud, and impersonation

Do not use Pactbound acknowledgment links, verification pages, or handoff notifications to phish for credentials, impersonate other organizations, or deceive recipients. Do not create handoffs designed to mislead recipients about the nature or source of the content. Do not use the Service to facilitate any form of fraud, identity theft, or social engineering attack.

Spam and notification abuse

Do not use the handoff notification system to send unsolicited bulk communications. Handoff notifications must be sent only to recipients who have a legitimate relationship with the sender in the context of a genuine handoff. Do not use Pactbound as a general-purpose email delivery tool. Repeated sending to invalid or non-consenting recipients is prohibited.

Account and usage limit circumvention

Do not create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits, plan restrictions, or suspension actions. Do not use shared, pooled, or disposable email addresses to generate multiple free accounts. Do not use automated scripts or bots to create accounts, generate handoffs, or submit acknowledgments at volumes exceeding documented API rate limits.

Reverse engineering and unauthorized extraction

Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code from proprietary components of the Service beyond what is made available as open source. The open-source bundle verifier is explicitly licensed for public use and inspection. Do not use automated scraping tools to extract data from the Service in bulk.

Harmful content

Do not upload, transmit, or facilitate content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, or that violates the privacy or intellectual property rights of any third party. Do not use the Service to facilitate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes minors: violations will be reported to NCMEC and law enforcement.

Interference with the Hedera network

Do not use the Service to submit content to the Hedera Consensus Service that violates Hedera's own terms of service, or to attempt to spam, flood, or degrade the Hedera network. Do not attempt to manipulate HCS topic sequencing or timestamps. The Company is accountable to Hedera for all submissions made through its operator account.

Resale without authorization

Do not resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without a written reseller agreement with DMG L&D, LLC. API access provided as part of a paid plan may be used to build integrations for your own organization's use; it does not grant the right to build a competing SaaS product or charge others for access to the Service.

Misrepresentation of evidence bundles

Do not represent Evidence Bundles as legally binding contracts, court-admissible evidence, or legal instruments in contexts where you know such representation to be false or misleading. Evidence Bundles are cryptographic records of events: they are documentation tools, not legal opinions. Do not advise others that a Pactbound evidence bundle guarantees any specific legal outcome.

Permitted Commercial Use

The Service is designed for legitimate business use. The following uses are explicitly permitted:

  • MSPs, IT service providers, and technology companies using the Service to document credential handoffs, offboardings, and client disclosures.
  • Property managers documenting move-in and move-out disclosures, lease acknowledgments, and maintenance handoffs.
  • Franchise operators documenting training completions, policy acknowledgments, and operational handoffs.
  • Compliance teams documenting security policy acknowledgments, SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 disclosure delivery.
  • HR and legal teams documenting sensitive document delivery and acknowledgment.
  • Integrating the Pactbound API into your own internal workflows and tools for the above purposes.

RMM Integration Guidelines

Users who connect RMM platforms (ConnectWise, NinjaOne, N-able, Datto, Atera, Syncro, Kaseya, TeamViewer, Splashtop, BeyondTrust, LogMeIn Rescue, Zoho Assist, or others) to Pactbound are responsible for:

  • Ensuring their use of the RMM integration complies with their RMM vendor's terms of service.
  • Not using automated handoff creation to generate fraudulent or misleading records.
  • Keeping RMM API credentials and webhook secrets confidential.
  • Promptly revoking integration credentials if the integration is no longer in use or if credentials are compromised.

Enforcement

DMG L&D, LLC reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and to take appropriate action in its sole discretion, including:

  • Issuing a warning and requiring remediation.
  • Temporarily suspending access to the Service.
  • Permanently terminating an account without refund.
  • Reporting to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law or where the violation involves criminal activity.
  • Pursuing civil remedies for material breaches.

The Company's failure to enforce this AUP in any instance does not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce it in future instances.
